CPR Debate Watching Party

SAVE THE DATE!  Final Presidential Debate Watching Party

Wednesday, October 15th. 5:00 – 8:30 pm:  

 

Gather with supporters of progressive media to watch the 3rd/final Presidential Debate between Barack Obama and John McCain on Wednesday evening, October 15^th, moderated by Bob Schieffer of CBS’s “Face the Nation”.  

 

Co-sponsored by the Media Committee of the San Diego County Democratic Party and the Campaign for Progressive Radio-San Diego (CPR-SD, the outgrowth of the grassroots movement to Save KLSD last fall).  We’re inviting KLSD alums, other progressive broadcasters and journalists, and candidates to join us for conversation before and after the debate, which starts at 6 pm and ends at 7:30 pm.

 

We’ll have the large, enclosed patio at Trophy’s in Hazard Center (northwest Mission Valley) devoted to watching the Debate, with 6 large TVs tuned to this pivotal event from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.  $20 gets you dinner (4 menu choices*) and bottomless non-alcoholic beverage, (Including tax and tip), in the patio/debate-watching room with no-host bar adjacent.   If you choose, the nearby bar will be available for drinks only and/or full menu ordering, with TV tuned to the debate with closed-captioning.  

 

This will be THE place to be in San Diego County on this historic night — help to make it one that the mainstream media CAN’T ignore.  Who knows what may break out during the debate?

* The 4 Menu Choices are:

1.  Tostada Grande Chicken Salad

2.  Pasta Marinara- Vegetarian Red sauce with Angel Hair Pasta & Garlic bread

3.  French Dip Sirloin Sandwich w/ cole slaw and fries/chips
